On November 1, 2015--All Saints' Day--the Most Reverend Michael B. Curry, Bishop of North Carolina, was instituted as the first African American Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America  (ECUSA) and a Primate in the world-wide Anglican Communion.  The ceremony took place in a solemn Eucharistic celebration at National Cathedral at noon.
