Outreach is a historical and ongoing commitment at Holy Trinity. Material needs such as food, shelter, and mental and physical health care, are identified locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Outreach works to respond to many of these needs by implementing projects in which parishioners may participate actively through contributions of time, talent, and money.

Community Dinners

Holy Trinity has offered meals to the hungry in several forms for about 15 years. Started by parishioners Dick and Ann Lodge, the Community Dinners have been offered in cafeteria style as well as family style. For about ten years, five Oxford churches have offered meals once a month on Wednesday evenings in rotation. Parishioners contributed side dishes and were urged to take part in the meals in order to get know those who came because of need.

During COVID-19, meals have been provided in take-away format. People accepting the meals pick them up in their cars in an easy drive-through. Members of the parish Outreach Committee staff the operation, in rain, sun or snow.

Dry Pantry

We also stock a free dry pantry with numerous useful items that can be requested at the time that meals are provided. These items consist of soap, detergent, diapers, paper products, and various necessary personal and household items.
